Welcome to the "SC Kick-Off to 2010 NRA Annual Meeting" blog site. We will be using this site (along with our Facebook group site) to keep people updated about the 2010 event.
The "SC Kick-Off to 2010 NRA Annual Meeting" will be hosted by the Metro-Carolina Friends of NRA committee. This committee was originally chartered in Rock Hill, SC four years ago to raise money for the NRA Foundation. The NRA Foundation is the non-profit side of the NRA that helps fund shooting instruction and promotion. All the money raised through the NRA Foundation is used to promote the shooting sports. None of the money raised goes toward salaries or overhead.
Half of the money raised stays in the state where raised. This money is available for grant applicants to request to support their shooting sports projects.

What is the "SC Kick-Off to the 2010 NRA Annual Meeting"?
On Thursday, May 13, 2010 - The Metro-Carolina Friends of NRA will be hosting a Friends of NRA Fund-raising banquet in York County SC. The next day, May 14th, the 2010 NRA Annual Meeting will be starting just up the road in Charlotte, NC.
Both of these events promise to be the best & biggest of their type held to date.
While open to everyone, the SC Kick-Off is primarily for South Carolinians to celebrate their Second Amendment freedoms & heritage.
